Through the act of frottage of the ambo of a church — the structure from which the priest proclaims and interprets the Scriptures — the artist separates this element from the altar and brings it beyond the sacred walls. The intervention questions the one-sidedness of ecclesiastical interpretation, inviting an individual, active, and critical reading of the sacred word.
